Afshan Bhatti has a diverse academic background in anthropology, sociology, psychology, and business management. Her primary qualifications are a Master of Science in Anthropology from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad and an MBA in International Business from George-Simon-Ohm University of Applied Sciences, Nürnberg, Germany.
Afshan has over sixteen years of experience in the field of qualitative and quantitative research and program management, with a particular focus on gender, poverty, social exclusion, and inequities. While working on these issues, she has gained extensive firsthand experience of working in remote, rural, insecure environments of Pakistan. Currently, she is managing both the services and ongoing research projects of RMF in Pakistan and is also the co-investigator in all the studies RMF is conducting in collaboration with international universities, international organizations, and government departments.
